TED Talks: Ideas Worth Sharing – Brené Brown

The power of vulnerability

When we numb [hard feelings], we numb joy, we numb gratitude, we numb happiness.” (Brené Brown)

I enjoyed her sense of humour and how she spoke about a broad number of constructs, including the loss of civil discourse, blame, authenticity and our role as parents.

This second presentation, done in March 2012, is a follow-up to the first one and deals with the impact of her admissions about vulnerability that she made earlier.
